EVENT PARTICULARS:

Worry Pas Relay 2026 (the "Event"), organized by La Run Gang, Race Director Jenna Green, and organizers Megan Demings, Jillian Forbes, Dominique Comtois, and Chelsey Gaudet (collectively, the "Event Organizers").

UNDERSTANDING OF RISK AND RELEASE OF RESPONSIBILITY

I understand that participating in Worry Pas Relay 2026 is a potentially dangerous activity that involves physical exertion and inherent risks. I acknowledge that the Event takes place in a public park setting and may involve running on paved pathways, gravel trails, grass, uneven terrain, bridges, curbs, parking lots, and other surfaces within and around Centennial Park.

I understand that hazards may include, but are not limited to:

• Slips, trips, falls, and collisions;
• Uneven surfaces, potholes, roots, rocks, mud, gravel, loose pavement, and other trail or pathway hazards;
• Weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, wind, humidity, lightning, and poor visibility;
• Encounters or interactions with other participants, spectators, volunteers, pedestrians, cyclists, children, pets, wildlife, or motor vehicles;
• Physical exertion, fatigue, dehydration, heat-related illness, cardiac events, and other medical emergencies;
• Failure or misuse of event equipment, timing equipment, relay batons, signage, barricades, or course markings;
• Hazards associated with proximity to the park pond/lake, including slippery surfaces, embankments, water-related incidents, and accidental entry into the water;
• Any other risks associated with participation in a running event conducted in a public outdoor environment.

I certify that I am medically fit to participate in the Event and that I have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical professional. I accept full responsibility for determining whether I am physically capable of participating safely.

I understand that I am solely responsible for my own safety and well-being before, during, and after the Event.

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Event, I hereby remise, release, forever discharge, waive, save harmless, protect, and indemnify the Event Organizers, Parcours Athletics, Athletics Canada, Athletics New Brunswick, Sport New Brunswick, Run New Brunswick, the City of Moncton, Centennial Park, sponsors, partners, volunteers, participants, competitors, entrants, sanctioning bodies, and all respective directors, officers, employees, agents, officials, servants, representatives, successors, and assigns (collectively, the "Released Parties") from and against any and all actions, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, losses, liabilities, injuries, illnesses, disabilities, or death arising from or related to my participation in the Event, whether occurring before, during, or after the Event.

I acknowledge and agree that this release applies regardless of the cause of such injury, loss, damage, or death, including where caused in whole or in part by the negligence of any of the Released Parties, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

I further grant permission to the Event Organizers and Released Parties to use, reproduce, publish, distribute, and display photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, race results, and other media containing my image, likeness, voice, or name for promotional, marketing, reporting, educational, or other lawful purposes, in any medium now known or later developed, without compensation.

By submitting my registration and/or participating in the Event, I acknowledge that I have carefully read, understood, and voluntarily agreed to the terms of this waiver and release. I understand that I am giving up substantial legal rights, including the right to sue.

This agreement shall be binding upon me and my heirs, executors, administrators, personal representatives, successors, and assigns.
