The St. Croix Valley Flying Club is excited to invite you to participate in our 1st Annual Mayday Event, which will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at the St Stephen municipal airport. This special event aims to showcase the incredible work of our first responders and service groups that keep us safe and protect our community. We believe your organization plays a vital role in this mission, and we would be honored to have you join us.

We will be closing the runway for a 5K run/walk to raise funds for the Charlotte County Cancer Society.

The premise is that 2X display aircraft are staged at the far end of the runway with runners/walkers going around each aircraft once:

LEG 1 - from runway threshold which is the Start/Finish, run/walk the length of the runway staying on the left and then turn right around Airplane #1

LEG 2 - From the 1st aircraft run/walk down the middle of the runway, turning right at the midfield taxiway area and turning at the pylon as directed, then return staying on the left to go around Airplane # 2 at the very end of the runway

LEG 3 - run/walk the length of the runway staying on the left side of the runway and back, to circle going around Airplane #2 at the very end of the runway where directed around aircraft and up the middle of runway

Leg 4 - the final leg all the way back up the middle of the runway to the threshold at the clubhouse and the Start/Finish line.

Race distance: 5000m

Race bib pickup: from 10:00am to 10:45am before race start at 11:00
