Le Demi-marathon de L’Acadie : une course iconique à mettre à votre calendrier

Le Demi-Marathon de l’Acadie (DMA) a dû changer son parcours initial (De St-Isidore à Tracadie) en raison de la fermeture du Pont Snowball. Le nouveau parcours de 2 boucles débute à la Piscine S. A. Dionne de Tracadie et se termine au même endroit.
Le comité organisateur du DMA a également décidé d’ajouter un demi-demi-marathon (10.55 km) à sa course mensuelle le premier dimanche de chaque mois de l’année. Depuis le mai 2026, les coureurs peuvent s’inscrire à la course habituelle du demi-marathon (21.1 km) ou pour la moitié de la distance. Les coureurs inscrits aux deux distances partent sur la même ligne du départ à la même heure, soit 10h. Les participants au demi-demi marathon font le même parcours du demi-marathon une fois alors que ceux du demi-marathon le font deux fois.
La version virtuelle pour les deux distances est également offerte aux coureurs.
Cette course virtuelle peut se faire sur le parcours de votre choix dès que vous êtes inscrit ; il n'est pas nécessaire d'attendre le jour de la course en personne pour envoyer votre résultat. Vous devez faire parvenir au directeur de la course une photo selfie avec votre montre bien en vue indiquant votre chrono et la distance avant 18h le dimanche de la course en personne. Veuillez noter que l'âge minimum pour s'inscrire au demi-marathon est de 16 ans et de 14 ans pour le demi-demi-marathon.
Les 3 premières positions toutes catégories ainsi que les 3 premières femmes pour le demi-marathon ainsi que pour le demi-demi-marathon se méritent une médaille, soit or, argent ou bronze selon leur position.
La remise des médailles se fait au 2e étage de la Piscine S.A. Dionne après la course vers midi où un repas est servi aux participants.
Les organiseurs sont de l’avis que cette nouvelle offre permettra aux coureurs de mieux s’entrainer pour un 10 km à venir et que certains tenteront de relever le défi du Demi-marathon de L’Acadie.

Le Demi-marathon de L’acadie: an iconic race to put on your calendar
The Demi-marathon de l’Acadie (DMA) had to change its initial course (From St-Isidore to Tracadie) in 2026 due to the closure of the Snowball Bridge. The new course consists of 2 loops starting at the Piscine S.A. Dionne in Tracadie and finishing at the same location.
The DMA organizing committee has also decided to add a half-half marathon (10.55 km) to its monthly race held on the first Sunday of every month of the year. Starting in May 2026, runners will be able to register for the usual half marathon (21.1 km) or for half that distance. Registered runners for the two distances will start on the same start line and at the same time, 10 am. Participants in the half-half marathon will run the same course as the half marathon once while those for the half marathon will run it twice.
The virtual version will be offered for both distances.
The virtual race can be done on the course of your choice as soon as you are registered; there is no need to wait until the day of the race in person to send in your result. You must send a selfie with your watch well in view indicating your time and distance to the race director before 6 pm on the Sunday of the race in person. Please note that the minimum age to register for the half marathon is 16 and 14 for the half-half-marathon.
The first 3 positions overall as well as the first 3 females for the half marathon and the half-half marathon will be rewarded with a medal, gold, silver or bronze, depending on their position.
The medals will be awarded on the 2nd floor of the Piscine S.A. Dionne after the race around noon where a meal will be served to the participants.
